Even selecting which schools and locations to hold career fairs plays an integral role in the demographics of students that will attend. As we aspire to break down systemic barriers that systemic populations face when entering STEM/STEAM careers, the barrier of access must be addressed. Participating in internship/career fairs at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions is a significant step in ensuring these vital positions are accessible to all.
