Global Head of Thought Leadership at S&P Global Sustainable1 + ESG Insider Podcast Host

If you're a #sports fan, there's no shortage of sporting events to keep you entertained this summer (#UEFA Euro 2024 European #Football Championships, #Wimbledon, the Summer #Olympics...) So at the ESG Insider #podcast, we've kicked off a series about Sustainability in Sports. Professional sports are big business, and as we hear from our first guest in the series, the sporting world is facing pressure to become more sustainable from many sources, including spectators, investors, sponsors and even regulation. "We know that sport is a global phenomenon, and therefore, we believe that sport as a whole has so much power. It has really the chance to help us as a global society to become more sustainable,” says Christian Hartmann MBA, CEO of the nonprofit Global Sustainability Benchmark in Sports. "We want these organizations to be role models, to take real action and being really accountable ... And one of the big steps into this direction obviously is to be able to measure your performance.” Listen to the episode and subscribe to the ESG Insider podcast from S&P Global Sustainable1: https://lnkd.in/esixp6Z5 Esther Whieldon
