LMG (lmgiq.com) is very happy to release our 2023 Social Report! We began our journey in 2023 by committing over 1000 corporate volunteering hours towards various ecological and social charities, including HandsOn London and Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust, in line with our social targets as set out in the report. It represents a crucial milestone in developing a more supportive and ethical culture that prioritises our staff and the community and embeds our goals into the core of our company. “We understand that thriving businesses and thriving communities are interdependent. When the community prospers, so do we.” – Kathryn Rowe Download our 2023 Social Report to learn more about our ESG journey: #ESG #Sustainability #Community #Development #social #government #environmental #teamlmg #lmgiq #corporatevolunteering #charity

A closer look at our 'CSR & Philanthropy' pillar 🤝 What are the philanthropic responsibilities of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)? - Philanthropic responsibility refers to a company's obligation to give back to communities through charitable donations, volunteer work, and community involvement. Philanthropic initiatives can support a variety of causes, including education, health, and social welfare. 💡 OPS-WASH realises that private sector engagement in WASH cannot be considered as isolated CSR projects. It is important that any philanthropic or social investments in WASH are sustainable, especially in areas of operation & maintenance and monitoring & evaluation. 💧 Many corporates across the globe have taken upon themselves to be a part of this social transformation to address various issues of importance, such as the global water and sanitation crisis. ⚒ This demands new approaches, huge resourcefulness and genuine innovation. That is why we develop strategic partnerships with businesses which are open to collaborating and co-creating new solutions. #glao6 #csr #philanthropy #water #sanitation #sdg6

🌍 Exploring the World of NGOs | Not-for-Profit | Philanthropy 🤝 🌟 Making an effort to improve the conditions of people and the planet is an important way to have an impact. Let us explore what NGOs, philanthropy, and not-for-profit mean. What are the differences between each one, and what does each do? 🏛 A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is an independent, typically non-profit group that operates without government control. NGOs are formed at local, national, and international levels to pursue social or political objectives, often related to humanitarian causes or environmental protection. 🌈 A not-for-profit organization (NPO) is a type of entity that operates for purposes other than making a profit. NPOs are dedicated to serving a particular cause or community. 💖 Philanthropy is defined as actions and initiatives motivated by compassion that enhance welfare and contribute to the greater good. It is mostly observed through donations to charities or institutions to support a meaningful cause over time. 🚀 Browse our "NGOs | Not for Profit | Philanthropy" category on ESGLibrary.com to learn more about the important and positive initiatives in these fields. Valuable and succinct information in the Mount Street Club Trust report⬇️ for corporates intending to or already working with chairities.
Can trust-based philanthropy deepen the reciprocal impact of corporate funding partnerships? Where do the tensions and opportunities lie in relationships between funders and recipients? These were two of the questions posed at the Corporate Funding Partnerships Roundtable that we hosted earlier this year. We're now delighted to share a summary of the insights, ideas and outcomes from that event. If you're involved in or considering a funding partnership between a business and a charity, we hope that you'll find plenty of interest in this report. The insights are well worth reading in detail and fall under three key themes: • Conventional funding structures can hamper long-term impact • Tensions can arise due to differing perspectives, expectations and motivations • There are rich opportunities for corporate funders open to collaboration Finally, very warm thanks to everyone who participated, including the CEOs of our Hope & Ambition recipients, Peter Sheekey of ILS-Dublin Intercultural Language Service-Dublin, Maoliosa Boyle of Rua Red, Naoimh McNamee of Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation and Nick Henderson of Irish Refugee Council, as well as Síofra Kelly, Anthony Mills, Claire Colfer, Sarah O'Connor, Peter Corcoran and Hannah Carney. We're looking forward to further conversations and engagement on funding dynamics and opportunities between charities and funders in the coming year! #trustbasedphilanthropy #irishphilanthropy #philanthropy #funding #CSR #ESG #corporatephilanthropy #corporategiving
