Life isn’t a straight line, and neither is your career! 💫 Big thanks to Aditi Chaturvedi for reminding us that twists and turns are a part of the journey. Embrace the changes, take chances, and trust your unique journey. ✨

  • Screenshot of a LinkedIn post by Aditi Chaturvedi stating, "Your career will never look linear. It's a zig-zag of several twists & turns. You can be an average kid, start differently, take more risks, switch careers and still reach where you are meant to be. Do not let your education, job title, or career breaks define your entire career trajectory."

I also hope that recruiters and organizations also now don't look down on candidates with career gaps. People who go through that phase know what they have been through, and all they look for is that one opportunity. Give opportunities to people with career gaps and see them working hard and proving their mettle. Best wishes to each one of us who are trying their best to find that one opportunity and trust the universe; we will.

Navigating a career gap requires resilience and adaptability. Overcoming the challenges associated with a gap can build confidence and demonstrate the ability to handle change effectively. Career gaps shouldn’t be seen as setbacks but rather as opportunities for growth and enrichment. They can add unique value to one’s professional journey!

Mine looks like a giant zig zag, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I mean very few people go and get a masters of engineering at 47. Especially when their bachelors is not engineering. Embrace the ZZ. ❤️🐝❤️

Let this post be the motivation you need to take the risks that will shape your future!!!

It will define the career trajectory. I saw a post saying they would only hire people from large companies. There is another top service-based company that mentioned not to apply if you have any gaps in your employment history. Some people judge you based on the number of companies you've worked for, while others have concerns about short-term stints. @Aditi Chaturvedi I am sorry to say this, These don't work in real life

Sometimes hiring managers view zig-zagging in your career as not knowing yourself and what you want. You're supposed to have a clear linear career progression in one industry. I've worked in various industries that, on the surface, don't seem to have anything in common. But I have transferrable skills and I have many interests.
