We had an absolute blast presenting our QBR reports, building on top of our business plans, and enjoying perfect weather at the Red Sox game. Things to celebrate about #strata number 5. It’s not a zero sum game. Unlike say, an AFL season, which has 18 teams fighting over a single winner’s name etched into the premiership cup, there is no single prize in strata. There are more opportunities to flourish and thrive than any one or two companies can take on. As a consequence, the management community is a collaborative one. We experience genuine relationships being formed between people who would otherwise be cutthroat competitors. I like to think that’s kind of special. Under the guidance of Daniel Soukup, we all filled out extensive questionnaires and experienced a half-day workshop together. ❓ Why? That our clients benefit from that. ⚽ It's like in football - you need different types of players to win. A great scorer, a brilliant playmaker, an honest defender, reliable goalie... You can't win a game without that diversity of talents. History shows that a team made up of football superstars often fails because it lacks this diversity of strengths and team spirit. It's the same in legal profession. So we got to know our strengths and talked about them. To realize them, to continue working with them together and to use them effectively. We think that it is better to actively work with our strengths than to try to change things that we don't have the talent for or don't desire to do. Of course, we don't stop anyone from working on their weaknesses and improving, but we don't force them to do so. It is better to use and develop strengths. And we all have many those. In May, I received a one-year subscription to Masterclass, and it has truly been a game-changer.
