This virtual conversation is designed to “spark” interest in STEM careers among students through fun, engaging discussions with Deloitte professionals! Middle and high school classes ‘zoomed’ in while Daniel interviewed a Principal in Deloitte Government & Public Services, who shared many inspirational stories about his journey and career successes during his 20+ years of experience in Technology Transformation and Innovation. The session was a lot of fun and offered insights into real-world experiences, rooted in lifelong curiosity and learning! 🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚 𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 🍕✨ Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Deloitte's Pizza Slice event, where we had a chance to engage in a casual yet enlightening discussion with the Portfolio Leader of Enterprise Performance Christopher Nuerk. Here are my top 3 takeaways: 🗣️ 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒔:  It was so refreshing to break down the corporate walls and have the freedom to ask all those tricky questions we've been sitting on as a big team during these dynamic times. The relaxed vibe made it so much easier to connect and share ideas openly. 💡  𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆-𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆: How will Deloitte look in 3 to 5 years? How does Deloitte set global trends? How are we responding to workforce changes influenced by AI-enabled work facilitation? What does the future hold for consulting? What is the global role of Deloitte Germany? By brainstorming these questions, we delved deep into the future of Enterprise Performance, examining it from both internal and external perspectives. The sessions were filled with insights and provided us with a clearer vision of our future direction and how we can maintain our competitive edge. 🌐 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆: It was amazing to hear and swap experiences and knowledge with different talent groups and sectors. SAP? Finance & Perfomace? Technology Strategy & Transaformation? Supply Chain? Even though we're all under the same roof, we each see different aspects of client and industry life. It's great to realize how well we complement each other from a business perspective. This cross-group dialogue was incredibly enriching and helped foster a stronger sense of community. Exciting news a couple of weeks back to learn that Julene Marr and I were recipients of one of four, 2023 Deloitte Global Eminence awards. Julene and I entered the competition with our 'Integration Centre of Enablement in Practice' asset. When facing integration challenges, it can be tempting to introduce new technology or people to keep moving the organisation forward. A Centre of Enablement focuses on providing organisations with the frameworks to generate maximum value out of technology. Our assets focused on; - Organising teams to scale with organisation demand - Upskilling and empowering teams to work autonomously - Creating delivery guardrails to manage quality - Creating reusable assets and managing quality delivery - Structure and standards for documentation Really exciting to be recognised internationally for the work that Julene and I have been involved in up against a large amount of impressive technical assets.
