WEEDS OUT........Samaritan Residential Schools As the monsoon rains come and soak the ground in our school campus in Elagiri Hills, new life springs up everywhere. The parents and adults put their farming and gardening skills to work to raise vegetables and other food plants for their families and residents. The children, not to be outdone or left out, started to work on their own Community Garden. They are learning that not everything that grows is good and in order for the good to grow, the bad needs to be weeded out. The children are not only learning and sharpening their gardening skills, they are also learning life skills. Not everything you allow to grow in your life is good for you. And it is hard work to remove these bad weeds from your life. But remove them you must, for by replacing them with good seed, you will reap the harvest many times over. Real world skills and life skills go hand in hand at Samaritans every day.
