Seeing forward to meeting many fantastic OpEx professionals in Orland and I'm thrilled I'm invited to share #billboarddesignthinking knowhow and deliver a three-hour masterclass to help companies and organizations make OpEx programs and vision come true by using workshops focusing on the human aspect of transformation. After all as a speaker presenting at the OpEX conference in Amsterdam stated: "WE HAVE TO REALIZE YOU CAN'T CHANGE AN ORGANIZATION YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE THE PEOPLE WORKING IN THE ORGANIZATION!" That was the first time I understood that OpEX and Design Thinking have one thing in common. It's all about understanding humans, their behavior and trying to help organizations change in an effective way.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰’𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 2024 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐘 𝐢𝐧 #𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧!✨ The atmosphere at the EY #Wavespace in Milan was full of energy, inspiration, and a strong commitment to building a future that's successful and good for the planet. 🔑 Kicking off our sessions, Aldo Spaanjaars introduced the 'Dragon Tactics' strategy, revealing how Chinese companies rapidly succeed in competitive markets and offering insights we can apply to our own business strategies. 🌍 The panel on "Global Business in an Age of Geopolitical Uncertainty: Strategies for Success" was a highlight, with Jean-Frédéric Paulsen, Dr. Leopold von Schlenk-Barnsdorf, and host Famke Krumbmüller sharing valuable strategies for navigating today's global challenges. To share insights among future leaders, we convened at the Tomorrow´s Legacy Forum, addressing three vital topics: 🌐 Session 1: "𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯" featured Arthur Baudry from Walden Group (ex EHDH) and David Prieto from THE CT ENGINEERING GROUP, with Catharina B. hosting, discussing how to grow internationally with the right strategies and cultural understanding. 🌱 Session 2: "𝘍𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩" had Emilie Haspeslagh from Ardo and Marcelo Montilla Velasco 🌏🍀 from Atlántica Agrícola, led by host Enrico Perego, focusing on scaling businesses sustainably and making a positive impact. 🔗 Session 3: "𝘕𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘎𝘦𝘯 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱: 𝘕𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨" brought insights from Johannes Bahlsen from RAWBITE and Margherita Marchi from Finint Investments, with my colleague Lauri Oinaala hosting, on how to smoothly transition leadership to the next generation. Today has taught me a lot, affirming that a global outlook and anticipatory action are key to leading businesses that value sustainability, purposeful growth, and innovative leadership. 🧭🧭 We know great #leadership when we see it. Leading is, as it long has been, about mobilizing #people towards a common goal... despite their #differences. A great leader is set to build networks serving their community and broader society, focusing primarily on inspiring an enduring sense of direction that unleashes collective energy to work on transformative solutions. Many institutions engage in transformation initiatives, but only some are actually transformative. It may feel like time spent influencing means time away from running the actual stuff, that little impact stemmed out of these efforts, but it's a long-term process, and today's leadership is moving across and beyond to architect the ecosystem that treats transformation as a continuous process rather than a temporary deviation from "normal." HLTH Europe - the air buzzed enthusiastically, and the halls echoed the spirit of innovation. It was a gathering of brilliant minds and passionate hearts. As I navigated through the myriad of activities, I found myself enveloped in a sense of gratitude. The opportunity to meet new colleagues offered a fresh perspective; each handshake and exchange was a new seed planted for future collaborations that could one day bear fruit. Yet ❤️❤️ amidst the excitement of new connections, this was a week of active questioning and emotional reset... there was a hint of nostalgia for the familiar faces. From a distance, I spotted many friends, some of whom I've known for years, others I've admired from the periphery. Observing them from afar, I was struck by the realization of their unwavering commitment. My dear colleagues and friends, each of you is a source of positive energy that transcends physical presence. The thought of you, out there relentlessly pursuing the boundaries, fills me with a profound sense of hope and respect and drives me to contribute to the collective effort of shaping a better future. Here's to the #changemakers, the #dreamers, the #doers, and the #friends - both near and far - who continue to lead the charge toward a brighter tomorrow. Imagine the immense boost in motivation when appreciation for a job well done is publicly acknowledged by none other than the CEO of your organization. This was exactly my experience last Friday during our org-wide meeting at Reflections Global. During her address at our All-Hands Meeting, Deepa Sarojammal began speaking about some values that are the bedrock of our organization: Passion, Ownership, and a High-Performance Spirit. She then spotlighted my efforts as a prime example of extraordinary effort and achievement. Deepa took the time to explain how she believes that I have portrayed these ideals as I encounter problems, find solutions, and passionately take ownership to drive them to success. This experience is a powerful reminder that what we often consider routine work is, in fact, extraordinary in its impact. At Reflections Global, we're more than just a team; we're creators and innovators, constantly striving to turn our organizational vision into reality. I have performed as such because I was given the autonomy to drive project re-navigations, emerging tech programs, and innovations. Our CEO and the executive leadership, including my manager Haseel Mohamed, have always enabled us to act as Mini-CEOs in our organization. This empowers us not only to lead but also to foster a culture of collective responsibility and innovation within our teams. Each of our team members recognizes their critical role and contributes with unparalleled dedication and quality, embodying the essence of collaborative leadership. This is our secret sauce to maintaining our growth trajectory, elevating client value, and anchoring our dynamic and forward-looking identity. This synergy is what enables individuals like myself to realize our visions and drive impactful change across Reflections Global. As I have always said with each of my (mini) successes, this is just the beginning. We have so much more to accomplish, and appreciations like these, especially coming from one of my most favorite human/mentor/leader, only fuel me to keep thriving. As TEDAI Vienna Curators, Vlad Gozman and I are often asked how we pick speakers. What people miss is that we do not select speakers, but ideas. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮? Ideas are not products, or projects, or personal stories. Those are inherently narrative and temporal, dependent on the "who," "when," "where," and "what happened".  Ideas are about the essence or a principle behind things, actions, or phenomena. They're about the why, how and what of things. Ideas are abstract concepts that can be a notion, a belief, a theory, a plan, or an impression. In other words, 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. I'm glad to be working with the aforementioned smart folks, congrats on the launch of this year's list, Martin Reeves, Dr. Adam Job, and Magdalena Krupa! The list assesses 1,700 global public companies based on their long-term growth prospects, using a formula that includes market expectations but also a variety of other factors such as research and development spending, patent portfolios, relatively youthful and stable leadership, and lean corporate structures. Trust, authenticity, compassion, vulnerability, impact, and personal growth – these were the themes that stood out for me at my first global summit with FBN-The Family Business Network.     Each year, more than 500 family business members gather to exchange ideas, learn, and network. The atmosphere is genuine, with everyone bringing their true selves and family stories to the table. Throughout the week, I had the chance to connect with business owners from around the world, hearing about their experiences, challenges, and aspirations for their businesses and families – a genuinely insightful experience.    This year's theme focused on transparency, emphasizing the importance of “making the invisible, visible.” Many family businesses operate discreetly, avoiding public attention. However, given the evolving business landscape, there's a call for family businesses to embrace leadership and transparency for trust-building. It's a challenge that requires courage.    The summit has left me genuinely inspired, and appreciative of the valuable connections that I had made around the globe.
