Since it’s Valentines week, let’s talk about how we show LOVE to our teams. OK, I know that when we are talking about acquaintances, or work teams, that can be a scary word. But it shouldn’t be. If we want people to work for us, we need to show them that we care about them. When I was leading teams, I did this by bringing in gifts at holidays. They weren’t huge gifts, just little chocolates or baking - something small to show I was thinking of them. I also took the time to meet with the team regularly. These meetings weren’t just to talk about what was happening at work, we also got to know each other as people. We laughed and we supported each other when we needed it. Last but certainly not least, I listened to their concerns, their joys, and their frustrations. Sometimes there was nothing I could do to help, fix or change the situation, but just having been heard always helped. #Coach #Leadership #LeadingWithEase #HumanResources
