How to become a successful #ceo? 🤔 This is certainly a question that a lot of people ask themselves when they start a new business venture as a #startup. The answer is simple... You have to observe and analyze your environment. You have to understand what current state you are currently in, what resources do you have and what goals do you want to achieve. It might be obvious for a lot of #businessexecutive but people tend to move too fast sometimes in this new modern world. They see everything in their environment evolving at a lighting pace but forget that us, human, have to adapt to be able to perform. They want to beat the clock and get everything done without proper analysis and what happens next? They face an issue and give up because they didn't take time to assess their environment and build a strategy to overcome an unwanted situations. You can extrapolate this situation and apply it to all business spectrum. #cybersecurity is the same.

Figuring out the #Cybersecurity #startup equation is hard. There is a significant shortage of talented people and those talented people are very expensive (myself included). I have several colleagues who are out there now trying to make it happen. Anyway I thought it might be good to start a thread on advice. Over the years I have connected with so many amazing folks, most much smarter than I am. So #Innovation and #entrepreneur network. What's your best advice for everyone? Top three bullets!

👉 So an important lesson in business this week... Minerva Secure is a startup and has it been easy. No! Is it still tough. Yes! I thought can we help more businesses? We've got great security experience, practical business ideas to help businesses meet security and compliance quicker so let's create a startup.  As time went on, I wondered why are the clients not coming to us? Why would clients pay 2x or 3x more elsewhere, for something we can offer? What I came to realise is there is one particular thing that kills business. Take a look at McDonalds. Could most people make a better burger and cheaper? Yes. Why are McDonalds doing so well? There are many factors, but it's not the price! They have got their systems, convenience and marketing right. What is that one thing? It is that obscurity kills business. So, I needed to engage with a marketing expert - I discussed with Siân-Louise Montgomery what can Minerva Secure do to better reach out and serve.
