Last week, the COMTO Colorado Chapter celebrated a significant milestone with their 20th anniversary. Founded by Jonnie Thomas, PE, Lochner's Board Director and Transit & Rail Principal, and Phil Washington, Chief Executive Officer of Denver International Airport, the chapter has been at the forefront of promoting inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, and identity in the transportation industry. At the anniversary event, attendees paid tribute to the visionary leadership and contributions of Jonnie Thomas and Phil Washington. The event also marked the eagerly awaited return of the Scholarship program, demonstrating COMTO's commitment to supporting future minority leaders in transportation. President of COMTO Colorado, Rico Nelson, and Board Member Kelli Kelly expressed gratitude for the founders' enduring legacy and highlighted the chapter’s ongoing efforts to foster diversity and inclusion in the transportation sector.
