Balbir Bakhshi, Group Chief Risk Officer, LSEG welcomed Philip Lane, Chief Economist, ECB and Balazs Koranyi, Chief Correspondent, Reuters to LSEG ahead of the first London Reuters Newsmaker event today. It was an engaging interview, with Mr. Lane sharing his thoughts on inflation falling back at some point next year. This morning we were proud to host an event to mark one year of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) S1 and S2 standards, to kick off London Climate Action Week. Last year we hosted their launch, and we were delighted to welcome back key stakeholders to celebrate their importance a year on. The morning started with a market open, followed by a conversation on the importance and progress of implementation, between David Schwimmer, CEO, LSEG; Sue Lloyd, Vice-Chair, ISSB; Amanda Blanc, CEO, Aviva; Mary Schapiro, Vice-Chair, GFANZ; and Jean-Paul Servais, Chair, IOSCO. Today the ISSB also set out its plans for the next two years including that it will take responsibility for the Transition Plan Taskforce’s (TPT) materials. LSEG welcomes these plans which will enable cohesion in climate transition plans across economies. Great to see the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) embark on its plans for the next two years at London Climate Action Week. By assuming responsibility for the Transition Plan Taskforce Disclosure Framework, the ISSB will enable greater standardisation and consistency in climate transition plans across economies.
