Things aren't always as they seem... I often hear how "lovely" the usual pest control technician is, but if we dig a little deeper the job they are actually paid to do isn't always as good as their chat. If you are paying for a pest control service, then you should expect the highest quality on every visit. Sadly, standards can vary wildly from technician to technician. This box was marked as inspected just last week - I think we can safely assume that it hasn't been inspected this year! Next time your "lovely" technician is due a service visit, maybe tag along and make sure they are doing what you are paying them for - that's not too much to ask now is it? If you suspect the service isn't up to scratch, then I'd be happy to call in FREE of charge to give you an honest appraisal of your current contractor's standards - and if they are good I'd be only to happy to tell you so! www.mdcenvironmental.co.uk

Ever wondered what a pest control technician does? 🤔 Meet Jessica Olsson! ”My current job as a pest control technician is the perfect match for me. I like meeting new people and spending time at the first on-site visit, doing a thorough inspection to get a deeper understanding of the root cause to the customer's problem. Rats are intelligent creatures and to outsmart them you need to be very clever! Using SMART means receiving real-time data on my cell phone about pest movements and catches. This data helps me get much better control of the situation.” Follow us and learn about exciting opportunities at Anticimex! #PestControlTechnician #PestControl #SmartPestControl #Anticimex #PestManagement

Let’s get dirty and inspect, inspect, inspect. Gibran Strachan and I went out in the field a few days ago to assist on a route and well you can say we did a pretty good job When completing any pest control service you must INSPECT, prior to any application. Never become a baseboard “spraying” company, identify the pest firstly and follow your companies SOP for control measures. No job is complete without a full inspection

It's time for another Pest Control in Action episode! This time we hit the road with Pest Technician Scott as he conducts an annual termite inspection. 🔎 We begin the inspection indoors, combing through every nook and cranny of the house. 🏠 We then move into the roof void to check for indications of termite intrusion, or damage caused by other pests. 🪵 We then shift focus to the exterior of the property, where Scott inspects all external walls and piles of wood. ✅ Fortunately, no signs of termite activity or damage were detected, giving the homeowner peace of mind until the next termite inspection in 12 months. A motivational Email I sent my team a few days ago... Be brave enough to suck at something new! Dear team, I hope you're doing great! And thriving in your role as an integral part of our termite control team. As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of pest management, I want to emphasize the profound importance of cultivating an open heart and mind, fostering a positive attitude towards continuous learning and self-development. In termite control, where challenges can be as diverse as the pests themselves, staying ahead of the curve is not just beneficial – it's essential. Our commitment to excellence requires a steadfast dedication to honing our skills, staying informed about the latest innovations, and embracing new techniques that can elevate our effectiveness. Here are a few key reasons why a commitment to continuous learning is paramount in our field: Dynamic Nature of Termites: Termites are highly adaptive creatures, and their behaviors can change over time. Staying informed about the latest research and advancements in termite biology and behavior equips us with the knowledge needed to stay one step ahead. Technological Advancements: The field of termite control is evolving with technological innovations. From advanced detection tools to eco-friendly treatment methods, staying abreast of technological advancements ensures we have the best resources to provide efficient solutions. Regulatory Changes: Regulations governing pest control practices are subject to change. Continuous learning helps us comply with industry standards and regulations, ensuring our practices remain ethical, safe, and environmentally friendly. Client Trust and Satisfaction: Clients trust us to protect their homes and businesses from termite infestations. Investing in our knowledge and skills not only instills confidence in our abilities but also enhances client satisfaction through our commitment to delivering the best possible service. In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, "Do something that scares you every day." As termite technicians, let's be brave enough to embrace the unknown, venture into uncharted territories of knowledge, and suck at something new in our pursuit of growth. Through these challenges, we truly evolve and become more wholesome professionals. Remember, the journey of self-improvement is ongoing. Let's foster an environment that encourages questions, embraces curiosity, and celebrates the spirit of learning. Together, we can fortify our team and continue to set the standard for excellence in termite control. Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Please let me know what you think about this. Glue boards are extremely important when dealing with German Roaches. Especially in a commercial kitchen. Not only does it confirm if they have roaches and what kind of roaches they have. But if used properly, you can locate hot spots. Did you know female German Roaches do not travel far from their nesting sites? If your finding females on a monitor board, chances are you located a hot spot. Allowing you to flush and bait properly to control them.
