Chief of Housing & Homelessness for LA City Mayor Karen Bass

For the first time in several years, the number of people experiencing homelessness in the City of Los Angeles is DOWN! Equally promising — the number of Angelenos who have moved into permanent housing is UP! “I know that many Angelenos have felt that this situation was hopeless. Today we know that we can and we will bring people inside, and move L.A. in a different direction.” — #MayorBass

🌟 Great news for our community! 🌟 Today, Alliance President and CEO Sonya Kay Blake joined over 250 community leaders on a call with L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, who announced a 10% decrease in homelessness in the City of Los Angeles. In the San Fernando Valley, #homelessness is down by 2.5%, from 10,443 to 10,701. This is a positive step forward, and The Alliance remains dedicated to achieving even greater progress. Also joining the call were Deputy Mayor of Community Engagement Jared Rivera, Chief Housing and Homelessness Officer Lourdes Castro Ramirez, and Deputy Mayor of Homelessness & Community Health Dr. Etsemaye P. Agonafer, MD, MPH, MS. 👀 Watch more here: https://lnkd.in/eQ8dZ-BE #CommunityProgress #EndHomelessness #TogetherWeCan
