If you’re an executive looking for a new career opportunity right now, I see you! It’s a TOUGH market. And while I’m no labor analyst, there’s definitely a disconnect happening. We see thousands of new jobs being created, but what I know and hear from leaders in my network is that they are not seeing a lot of opportunities. It’s worse for women. C-suite jobs are challenging to come by. The number of interviews is taxing, there are changing requirements, and a lot of indecision. Thanks for sharing this Luann. Yes, it's so tough out there. I read recently that 80% of applicants are applying to only 20% of jobs. So a majority aren't being found (on either the opening or candidate side). The supply / demand dynamic is definitely skewed. It's partly how we find out about open roles. Do we rely on the algorithm to serve them up or go seek them through our networks? Both, I am guessing. But these are some hard yards! Job-searching is so rough in this digital era. Agh. It's slower than last year, and last year was slow. My guess is, it is a tough investment market for SMBs, except emerging technology, and fewer businesses are growing. And corporations, like you mentioned in comments, don't advertise c-roles.
