More than purpose, surprise, or novelty, humor is the most prominent factor behind many of the most popular commercials in modern history, according to new findings from marketing and innovation consultancy Spikes. “The all-time favorite ads manage to have a lasting impact not for weeks or months, but decades,” said Gordon Euchler, co-founder of Spikes. “Among those ads, humor is significantly more important.” “Comedy sticks and it’s a really good tool to get people to like your brand,” Rob Baird, co-founder and CCO at ad agency Preacher, told ADWEEK. HERE IS AN AUSSIE SLANG CHALLENGE FOR MY CONNECTIONS AND FRIENDS FROM OVERSEAS 😀 😉 I think this ad is the best use of Aussie slang and Sam Kekovich the best brand ambassador to promote Australia, Aussie style. He connects to the Aussie spirit by being well all soooo Australian -being direct, calling it out, telling it like it is !! 😂 😂 😂 🤣 So my challenge is: 1. What is Sam saying if you don't eat lamb? 2. What phrases or words did he use you didn't understand? 3. Name some of the words and phrases (and don't cheat by googling) and tell me in the comments what you think they mean? 4. Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to attend Ad Club Colorado's "Is Your Story Worth Reading?" event featuring Kyle O'Brien & Doug Zanger. For those of you that missed out, here are my five largest takeaways: 1) You need a compelling story. 2) As an agency, you have to have a strong point of view. 3) Don't think of it as posting on social media. Instead, think of yourself as a publisher in control of the story you tell. 4) Your likability factor cannot be overestimated. 5) Good creative only happens when you have great strategy behind it.

Rushabh Shah I was late to respond and share my thoughts 💭 on Shantanu Deshpande supporting the ad that has taken social media by storm ⛈️. Then I saw your post. This is a great post for two reasons. Reason 1 : You have expressed your perspective on the Bombay Shaving Company's ad which has not 🚫 been accepted by marketers, founders and entrepreneurs, in the most "humble" and "polite" way possible. It's not a hate post! Reason 2: It's a learning for other MSMEs & Startups to be more active on social media and should have a strong digital presence.
