That’s why we’ve shaped Renault Group into a team of teams, each specialized in a specific field with its unique ecosystem and partners. On the #EV side, we have Ampere. On the ICE side, we’ve created HORSE Powertrain Limited with GEELY, to push for ultra-low emission solutions while achieving worldwide leadership and scale in powertrain components and systems. Now we take a step further in this direction as Aramco acquires a 10% equity interest in HORSE Powertrain Limited, valuing the company at €7.4 billion. Our joint efforts will focus on a variety of technologies, from highly efficient ICE, transmissions, and hybrid powertrains to alternative fuels like lower-carbon synthetic fuels and #hydrogen. Our common goal: accelerating in the journey towards #decarbonization. The only goal of aramco is to keep selling as much oil as they can. Please stop all this nonsense with ICE’s and give us cheaper EV’s.

Competence that they once possessed cannot be easily regained. The development potential of the internal combustion engine is far from being exhausted.
