#Montyhallproblem A famous counter intuitive puzzle The Monty Hall problem is a classic probability puzzle based on a TV game show. The problem is as follows: you are a contestant on a game show, and you are given the choice of three doors. Behind one door is a car, and behind the other two doors are goats. You pick a door, say number 1, and the host, who knows what is behind the doors, opens another door, say number 3, which has a goat. The host then asks you if you want to switch your choice to door number 2 or stay with door number 1. #Question-Should you Switch?

I talk to many people (friends, family, and strangers) here in Singapore and the region, and a surprisingly large number believe that #disneyplus (Disney Streaming) is either Disney/Star Wars/Marvel/Pixar/NatGeo shows only. They couldn't be further from the truth. Yesterday, Hulu premiered FX's production of Shogun. (My Disney+ subscription is a US sub, so I get Hulu, or rather Disney+ and ESPN are bundles to my Hulu subscription.) I waited to watch the first two episodes before I wrote about it. Well, I have. And? You have to watch it! This show, if it goes the right way could be #disneyplus's GAME of THRONES. (yes! That's how excited I am about it.) Don't take my word for it. Here's Mike Hale from The New York Times: "“Shogun” — which premieres Tuesday on FX and Hulu with two of its 10 episodes — is perfectly successful. It is sumptuously produced, mostly well acted and not excessively sentimental or sensational. If its story seems to stop and start a bit, there are reasons for that, which become clear in a satisfying and moving ending; if there are major characters who don’t stand up to scrutiny, there are others who come alive and hold your interest. It may not live up to its hype, and it may leave you wondering why so much time (more than a decade) and money needed to be spent reanimating Clavell’s tale. But it delivers." Nick Shager of The Daily Beast: "‘Shogun’ Is TV’s Most Epic Series Since ‘Game of Thrones’" And Kelly Lawler from USA TODAY: "Style is easy. Substance is hard. There is a glut of big, expensive and expansive TV shows these days, but there isn't a glut of big, expensive and expansive TV shows that are actually worth watching. They might look pretty, but they don't always have great stories and performances (and sometimes they don't even look that pretty). Big sets, costumes and casts don't make a good show on their own. It's not easy to make something epic. But FX's "Shogun" (premiering Tuesday, 10 EST/PST, and streaming on Hulu, ★★★½ out of four), a new historical drama based on James Clavell's 1975 novel about the first English contact with feudal Japan, makes epic look easy. Beautiful, rich and deeply compelling, it might just scratch that "Game of Thrones" itch you've had since the HBO fantasy folded in 2019." So I believe that Hulu programs play on Hotstar (a part of Disney+) here is SE Asia. If you don't have a subscription, trust me, this show would be a good reason to get one.

The Monty Hall problem is a well-known conundrum in probability theory related to the U.S. television game show Let's Make a Deal. It is named after the show's host, Monty Hall. Here's how it works: The contestant is faced with three closed doors. Behind one of them is a car, while the other two hide a goat. The player can choose one of the three doors. After the player's initial choice, the host (who knows what is behind each door) opens one of the other two doors, revealing a goat. At this point, the handler offers the player the opportunity to change his or her initial choice and move on to the one remaining door. The convenient choice is to switch. But why? here it is explained in the simplest way we know how! #montyhall #decisionmaking #probabily

At 2:30 PM, show rehearsal begins, and the anchors take their spots at the desk. Shows for Cronkite News typically have two main anchors toss back and forth, covering the top stories, and another anchor who will cover the third segment. As a producer, it’s essential to be on the same page with the anchors, answer questions, and prepare them for the day’s show. #producing #newsproducing #sportsproducing
