I just reviewed a grants manager position in metro Atlanta for a housing non-profit for a friend. They love the non-profit’s work, but the scope at a glance felt broad, so I offered to take a look. I’m curious to hear other’s perspectives on this. In the list of requirements for a candidate, a master’s degree, three years of experience in fundraising, and donor management are all required, on top of the typical grant writing and administration experience. This role clearly wears a lot of hats, but it isn’t unheard of in our world, especially at multi-faceted orgs. The offered salary range for this role is $55k to $69k annually with 4 PTO days. The role also requires 4 days in-office, which is deep in Atlanta proper. In the private sector (and for most larger cities), this role would pay $110k-$130k annually with generous benefits to compensate for the sheer workload and time commitment required of a candidate with that experience.
