To everyone sending out resumes: Here’s a fresh idea (especially for my advertising/PR/marketing people)! Picture the company you're applying to. Now imagine you’re their brand, product, must-have service. Craft your story just like you would for your client. Show the hiring manager you’re not just another applicant—you’re the solution they didn’t even know they needed. I mentioned my "own ad campaign" in my last post... This is just taking that to another level. While times might be tough, remember there’s always time for a little fun. P.S. Amidst all this hustle, don’t forget to slow down and look after yourself. 🫶 Inspired by these Campaigns: Nike - Nikecraft "General Purpose Shoe” (2022) Uzina - IKEA “Fresh at IKEA” (2022) Apple - Macintosh “Test drive a Macintosh.” (1984) Rethink - Heinz "Ketchup Fraud" (2023) McCann Worldgroup - Coca-Cola “Things Go Better with Coke” (1963) 👀 Open to ALL entry-level agency opportunities sent my way: https://lnkd.in/gaqXDpjN 👀 Repost & share if you'd like. It’s the $49.999 IKEA ad for me.
These are the resumes you cold email the CEO with.
I once set up a whole website and 2:09min professional video production in the style of a Kickstarter for one specific opportunity. I like to believe it helped me secure the spot at Ogilvy. It‘s a good laugh to watch it nowadays 😂
Personally love these but I wonder if ai will filter them straight out of the pool.
Indeed a fresh idea when sending or creating a resume. Not against the traditional ones but we also need to come up with something that's new and efficient when showcasing our works. Right?
This is an impressive, smart, and strategic resume "marketing ad". It's not going to work for everyone, like you mentioned, something like this works best for advertising, PR, and marketing folks (and designers). FYI, as a talent leader, if I didn't have something on the books at the moment, I would pitch you to my team.
I am not sure not hiring managers in financial services would respond to me sending something like this but I LOVE this! This is amazing - 10/10 recommend a Luka!
Perfecto!! ✨ Might use this tactic for cover letters because who the hell loves making those?!
LOVE THIS! I put a headshot in my resume and my friend who works in politics told me to remove it because I looked young and that would be associated with “inexperience”. I kept the picture😊
