I'm a little late to my mid-year update on what we're seeing demand for in the tech space (which is all my group does). I always like to share this info as I know we get to see a unique perspective of the market! Keep in mind this is just data from my teams, and should not be taken as a generalization across the country. I would say 50% of this is in the greater Philadelphia area where my group has the most historical business: Most Placed skills: Javascript - React.js being the most popular framework Cybersecurity (specifically SecOps) C#/.NET (modernization, eliminate tech debt!) QA (Specifically automation - playwright and cypress very demanded) Network Automation DevOps (Specifically Kubernetes and Terraform) Data Engineering (think building everything out before you can do Machine Learning) We are placing around 20-30 of these folks every month, mostly into the below industries: Healthcare (not hospitals, but software companies with healthcare SaaS products) Insurance Finance (all types, FinTech, through trading firms) Manufacturing (Supply chain and robotics automation mostly) Things that have surprised me: Wildly different market experience - some people having an incredibly hard time finding a job, and others getting 3-4 offers. Similar resumes and experiences. Just weird. Most companies say they have 1000 applicants in 3 days, but then I see their job open for 90 days! Highest rate of offers rescinded I have ever seen. Crazy reasons. Companies being insanely picky about who they hire (hence, why a lot end up partnering with us to capture the best talent for their needs). Thought this would be some interesting data for my network! Any questions, ask away.
