1 year ago, I moved to Paraguay alone. I didn't know anyone. I'd never been and I didn't know.. Spanish. (that's a bit of a challenge here...) I moved to challenge myself with monk mode. Monk mode is about shutting out all external distractions to focus on one core idea. No family. No friends. No hobbies. Just me vs me vs my dream. I believe everyone should challenge themselves more. Face difficulty. Test themselves. Have a few losses. You either grow or you fall apart. It's good to find out what you are made of. It's been a year now. This is my review of monk mode: https://lnkd.in/gen6PE8y PS Would you ever consider monk mode?

What's your dream man?
I love this Luke. Years ago I took myself off to an isolated Lighthouse keepers cottage. I packed everything I'd need for a week (I had young children at the time, so I couldn't be away from them for longer than that). But, I needed time away. Time to think. Time to create. I wrote the draft of my first published business book that week. A time I'll always value and treasure. Monk Mode ROCKS! 😁
"It's good to find out what you are made of." hits home. How are you supposed to know what you're capable of if you never give yourself a chance to find out?
I can relate, Luke Matthews: once, I went to Guatemala to see how much language I could learn if I would subject myself 24/7 to only that one language (you probably guessed by now that that was Spanish in this case). During that time I would not read, listen to, watch or speak anything else than Spanish. I had a private Spanish tutor who was with me for 8 hours a day and would take a more classic approach to teaching languages. After hours, I would then read in Spanish and watch things. The results: After 4 weeks I was fluent enough to read almost anything, travel the country, speak with people. My learning: if I commit myself 100% with Monk Mode things can happen.
