Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Post

From a wrist injury to a state champion again! 🌟 Kelsey Silva, an 11-year-old gymnastics star, faced a tough fall last August that could have ended her season. After slipping on an AirTrack and fracturing her wrist at the growth plate, Kelsey underwent a specialized surgery thanks to her amazing care team at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Kelsey's journey of recovery and determination paid off with the support of orthopedic hand surgeon Paul Sibley, DO, FAOAO, pediatric orthopedic specialist Barry Berger, MD and her dedicated coaches. In April 2024, not only did she become the Pennsylvania floor state champion for the third time, she finished only .025 shy of the balance beam state champion title. 🏆 Read more about Kelsey's inspiring story: https://bit.ly/3L47jDC.
