Fourth in the series, aimed at both 'new to' and 'experienced' social housing providers but worth attending for any sector, or just because you are interested to find out more.

Based on reports from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission in 2023 Imagine Housing has 183 subsidized units which reimburses at 3x the affordable housing rent. 110 tenants not living in subsidized units pay less than 30% of their income for rent. these rents range from 5% to 29% of their gross income for housing. This occurs because Imagine Housing does not use affordable housing allowed practices of AMI reclassification and the Over Income Clause 62 tenant households pay what is considered not rent burdened and pay 30% to 39% of their gross income for rent. 183 Imagine households are rent burdened from 40% to 100% of their gross income. Imagine allows tenants to sign a lease when their income is 1.5 X the affordable Housing rent amount. Please consider giving to Imagine having a in house subsidy program for these 183 families. This important in-house subsidy program need will increase when Samma in Bothell is completed, and leasing begins. BUMP

Many community leaders and active citizens tell me that they are exhausted, worn out, and frustrated by the mounting challenges in our society and the difficulties in addressing them. Of course they are. You may be, too. There are days when I am. That's exactly why I launched a new nationwide campaign: "Enough. Time to Build." I am undertaking this civic campaign to show that we need not give in to negativity or despair. There is an alternative, realistic, and hopeful path forward. It starts in our local communities. It’s there that we can see and hear one another. Where we can uphold dignity for all. Where we can grow our belief that we can get things done together. This campaign is to remind us of what is possible and what we are capable of. We can build stronger communities, together.
