Estonia punches way above its weight in the startup world, and one would expect that the 1.3 million nation gets a boost from liberal labor market policies, but contrary to expectations, this is not the case. In my latest article on foundME, I delved deeper into the topic, seeing what should be changed to ensure that the future Bolts can also grow up in Estonia. Here are some of the key comments: 🚀  The target should be a five-fold increase in the current quota, said investor Lev Dolgatsjov. Indonesian built software.....Yes you heard it.....It was built here...100%..... It works, it's scaled, it's used by the RI Government, Astra International and many others..... But still despite all the local talk, most is just virtue signaling, what real support for companies like BVT? The VC money has all been wasted on friends and family businesses like GoTo and many connected ppl help companies with no Indonesian presence compete with me.. That's the inconvenient truth...VC and the Indonesian government have invested heavily in either useless or mass loss making apps. Find out why it does not have to be that way. I will take BVT to Vietnam and Japan this year, while never taking a dollar VC money.... Indonesia can build tech if supported, but more money has gone into building up fake valuations and lots of that is even state owned VCs who need to value half their investments down to zero.
