Get yourself a summer intern with incredible creativity and attention to detail! When tasked with mapping out the most efficient route between eight of our current jobsites, intern Bailey did thorough research and developed this hand-drawn map. Visiting eight jobsites in a day is no small feat, but with Bailey's hard work, we were able to make it happen. Excellent work, Bailey! #mavinway #mavin #mavinconstruction #construction #constructionlife #constructionmanagement #management #industrial #designbuild #builder #commercialbuilder #preconstruction #maintenance #contractor #generalcontractors #generalcontracting #programmanagement #yeahthatgreenville #yeahthatgreenvillesc #greenvillesc

Tip: Here is a traditional way of getting a company to do your IT, volunteer, intern, or even work. If you want to work for a certain firm that provides some kind of special services, you may have to go through those they provide those services for. If you are interested in working for an engineering firm that supplies and maintains industrial air conditions, you may have to go to big malls or hotels where you have such and speak with the facility managers to connect or refer you to the service providers. If you desire to learn and work for companies that install elevators and escalators, you may have to visit all these big buildings, and big plazas around you, seek the audience of the maintenance unit in charge, and pitch yourself. It is very easy for firms to accept you to work or intern with them if a client they provide services for is pleading on your behalf.

Did you know we're currently hiring interns for our Calgary and Kansas City offices for the summer? Check out our tips to make your application shine: 📝 Do your research. Before applying to a role at any company, ensure you've researched enough to know what makes you a good fit, the values you share and why you want to work at the company. 📝 Personalize your application. We want to get to know you! Make sure you're including the information or skills that make you unique and showcasing your personality in your application. 📝 Proof and proof again! There's nothing worse than catching mistakes after it's too late. Have someone you trust review your application before submitting to avoid errors. 📝 Follow up as needed. Whether it's after submitting an application or participating in an interview, following up can be a nice touch to thank a company for their consideration or inquire about your application status. We recommend no more than two follow-ups. We can't wait to add interns to our offices this summer! 🤩 Check out the available postings and apply now at https://lnkd.in/g56awtYY. #AgriMarketing #AgCareers

Another #internship opportunity for U.S. Department of Labor scrutiny. It’s not clear whether the employer will pay at least minimum wage, if the candidate has already graduated and therefore will not get college credit. Yet it is clear this is a job and the person doing it will have duties essential to the #business operations. It won’t be primarily a learning environment. #Employers, #interns are not “free labor” for you to exploit. #ShareTheWealth #EmploymentIsAPartnership

From Campus to Cubicle: My Eye-Opening Second-Year Office Internship Experience Embarking on my second-year office internship marked a monumental leap from the confines of campus life to the bustling corporate world. This exhilarating journey has offered me profound insights into the chasm that separates academia from the realities of corporate existence Chapter 1: Brave Beginnings - Venturing Beyond the Classroom Opting for an office internship during my second year was a daring step into uncharted waters. Little did I anticipate the transformative experiences that awaited me. In the corporate arena, I have been thrust into the thrilling domain where theory meets reality, challenging my intellect in unforeseen ways. Chapter 3: Office Dynamics Unveiled - Navigating Uncharted Territory Office politics, intricate hierarchies, and the unwritten rules of the workspace were alien concepts during my academic journey. My internship has unveiled the nuances of office dynamics, teaching me to masterfully navigate this intricate labyrinth. Chapter 4: The Power of Connections - Networking and Mentorship The unforeseen benefits of my internship include the opportunity to network with seasoned professionals and receive invaluable mentorship. These relationships have expanded my horizons and positioned me for exciting career prospects. Chapter 5: The Bigger Picture - Understanding Real-World Implications As I approach the culmination of my internship, I have developed a profound appreciation for the profound implications of real-world decisions. The complex and multifaceted nature of corporate life stands in stark contrast to the controlled environment of academia. Conclusion: A Transformative Odyssey My second-year office internship has metamorphosed me in ways I could scarcely have imagined. It is akin to holding a backstage pass to the corporate world, where I am not merely a spectator but an active participant. While college education remains indispensable, this internship has unveiled the corporate world in its raw, dynamic, and demanding glory.
