We leverage scientific expertise and ongoing R&D investments to advance ecological restoration. Our recent publication in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, featured in the journal Nature, Ecology & Evolution, highlights our latest achievements: 🌱 Secondary forests face underutilization due to recurring deforestation. 🌳 Nearly 60% of secondary forests in the Amazon are cut down within the first decade. 🌿 The transformation of these areas into low-yield farmland stands out as a significant hurdle. 🌐 Current carbon markets do not provide adequate support for young forests. Potential solutions to those challenges are: 1) Enhancing farming efficiency on existing cultivated land. 2) Rethinking carbon accounting practices. 3) Aligning food production policies with ecological restoration. What all the initiatives aim to emphasize is the importance of young forests, unlocking their full environmental impact. Can you spot the foxes in the image which our monitoring drone took at one of our clients' #SolarPower plants? This gives you an idea of how very detailed Volateq can capture the images that will help you find every single flaw in your solar plant. Foxes are not a bad thing, of course, and they seem to be very comfortable on the site of this #solarfield. Did you know that areas with #solarpv installations have a much higher biodiversity than areas used for agriculture?
