As a military spouse, I can attest to our resilience and the wealth of global, educational, and professional experiences we contribute wherever the U.S. military sends us. Military spouses deserve opportunities to pursue their career goals while supporting their loved ones who serve our country. It is crucial to recognize that for many military families, having two working heads of the household is not a luxury but a necessity to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. I strongly advise conducting thorough research on military families, military spouses, and the current economic climate before making such ill-informed comments. By gaining a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and contributions of the military community, we can foster a more supportive and inclusive environment that recognizes the immense value we bring to the workforce and society as a whole.

Advocacy is crucial in ensuring that the needs and concerns of military spouses are heard and addressed. It's important for leaders to understand the experiences and challenges faced by military families when discussing in order to make informed decisions. First, I would like to thank Rep. Scott Perry for sharing his perspective on the way military spouses should support their active duty service member. It gave me the opportunity to do some research. I will start by breaking down Rep. Scott Perry’s, R-Pa military and political timeline. He first enlisted in the Army in 1980 and retired in 2019 as a one-star general in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Commanded the 2-104th General Support Aviation Battalion (Pennsylvania National Guard), deployed to Iraq from 2009-2010. In 2011, became Commander of the Fort Indiantown Gap National Training Site, PA. In 2014, served as the Assistant Division Commander of the 28th Infantry Division (Harrisburg, PA). Then retired in 2019 from the Pennsylvania National Guard. Perry served three terms in the Pennsylvania State House (2006-2012). Perry served as the Congressman from Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District from 2013-2017. He earned re-election to the newly-redistricted 10th District in 2018, and presently serves on the U.S. House Committees. Perry co-founded the company, Hyrdotech Mechanical Services in 1993. In 2002, the company was accused of altering sewage monitoring reports. Perry said that after taking a Department of Environmental Protection course on how to properly run a sewage plant, they realized that the work they had been doing at the plant was wrong and notified the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, triggering the investigation. He admitted his participation in falsifying state-mandated sewage records and avoided criminal charges. While Perry has an extensive military background and has served in various positions, it is true that personal experiences may differ among individuals and families. Each military family has their own unique set of circumstances and challenges that they face, including the frequent moves and career disruptions that come with military life. Perry may just need some education to understand the struggle of a PCS is enough without the added stress of unemployment for military families. I believe that Perry and his family never had to endure the pains of PCS nor some of the joys. It is important for leaders to listen and empathize with the experiences of military families, even if they haven't personally experienced it themselves. Empathy and understanding can lead to better policies and support systems for military spouses and their families. Our voice and experiences are valuable in shaping discussions and policies that affect the lives of our military families.

Having successfully completed each phase. Would have returned this officer to active naval duty ? As oppose to this "loss of confidence" which does seriously hampers his future employment opportunities. As I best recall Post Exchanges, were/are still selling alcoholic beverages to our service personnel, does this admittedly says there is a fiduciaries' responsibility to monitor and offer alternative treatments, along with other medical measures to ensure we do not lose highly qualified persons for lack of competence  as this young man's future is now in ruins. If Marine Captain Krause, were alive (circa, 1950's) I do feel he would have written to the U.S. NAVY DEPARTMENT, with a similar concern, he isn't, therefore I have penned the above. Moreover, because those  " C " Rations came complete with these brands : Camels, Phillip Morris, Kools, Old Gold, Chesterfield, cigarettes . Drill Instructors, would periodically (daily) call for smoking laps  breaks. Recruits, would open their cigarettes, enjoying taking a drags, inhaling, coughing, none of us young recruits knew the coughing was a direct resultant of taking smoke into our lungs, many over those long years of smoking cigarettes  are now deceased . Sad as that facts is. Once again the military was complicit. To my knowledge  HOLLYWOOD, movie producers, were never held accountable as they almost always had leading characters males, sometimes  females smokers. An inducement on the silver screen for many People to smoke cigarettes. Once again, each fiduciary walked away from millions of deaths, with their profits intact, a slew of dead bodies, following in their wake. However, their prospects are occasionally hindered by an preoccupation with 'operations,' and, despite its critical importance, it represents a small aspect of the overall role; this should not be a bottleneck or a dealbreaker Along with the NFCC Direct Entry Scheme, this is yet another opportunity to embrace wider talent for the good of the future of the service. 👏West Midlands Fire Service 👏. By not acknowledging and properly supporting our brave souls facing eating disorders, we inevitably play a role in some of the devastating suicides that ensue. This powerful article resonates with SEA WAVES' imperative to act. Alarming fact: One third of female service members and one fifth of males are entangled in the web of eating disorders. These disorders sit as the second highest mortality mental illness, just behind opioid use. Rear Adm. Daryl Caudle’s impactful statement: “We must cultivate an environment in which sailors have a strong sense of connectedness and can approach their leadership during times of stress and ask for help without the fear of reprisal. By nurturing a culture of open communication, we can break down barriers that discourage individuals from seeking meaningful and proactive support.” Every sailor must trust that their leaders are not only informed but also proactive in offering the right resources. Military service members deserve specialized care for any mental health challenge they face. We urgently need to inform our military medical professionals and leaders about recognizing and appropriately responding to eating disorders.
