Distributed Aviation Operations U.S. Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 167 participate in Distributed Aviation Operations Exercise (DAOEx) 24 at the U.S. Navy Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center on Andros Island, Bahamas. HMLA-167 supported DAOEx 24, designed to distribute command and control of aviation forces across echelons of command, pushing authorities to the lowest levels while keeping forces moving between airfields and air sites. 📹 Marine Cpl. Wonder where they got the MMT to support this ex? Oh wait, I know. MACS-24 as part of the Total Force!

I deployed with HMLA-167 as part of MAGTF 2-88 in 1988 and participated in combat operations Praying Mantis.

Have Guns, Will Travel. Maneuver warfare is complex, and most effectively learned away from home. And on AUTEC's D-3004 with Amentum support, no less!

I was an Air traffic controller at Cherry Point in the 70s and I miss the sounds of the jets and rotors
