Our New Industrial Policy Observatory (NIPO) is a collaboration between the Global Trade Alert and experts at the International Monetary Fund. Now over 3,500 industrial policy interventions taken since the start of 2023 have been documented. This week's IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings saw the IMF publish four more new reports that cited NIPO statistics. These were picked up in news articles published by The New York Times, Financial Times, El Pais, and the NEUE ZURICHER ZEITUNG. In addition, the prestigious Lowy Institute in Australia cited Digital Policy Alert findings. A chapter in the new Handbook of International Business Policy cited Global Trade Alert findings too. It featured important discussions on trade that have found their reflection in the Ministerial Council Statement, including: 7.
