I had the privilege of sharing the importance of breadth as embodied in the College of the Ozarks general education curriculum which prepares students to tackle a wide range of tasks at work and in life. Breadth is important for engineering graduates, half of whom are not in explicit engineering roles, as well as any graduate who wants to be prepared for the wonderfully diverse world we live in. https://lnkd.in/gWBcYERe
I am passionate about equipping and resourcing Christian colleges and universities and their faculty to faithfully educate students.
It was a pleasure to moderate a discussion at the Faithful Education Convocation last night about how the General Education Program here at College of the Ozarks helps prepare students to thrive in their God-given #vocations and #callings. Thanks to Stacy McNeill, Ed.D., Mark Nowack, and Joseph Western for sharing your insights as part of our faculty panel. Thanks also to Janna Goodwin for all your help organizing things behind the scenes. Finally, thanks to all the faculty here at the College who invest your time, energy, and passion into teaching General Education courses!
