I joined H.I.G. five years ago at $30BN* in assets under management, a small value creation team and a snack selection that was quite frankly subpar (items listed may vary in import). Today, we're at $64BN* AUM, have a value creation team of over 20 (and growing!), and the snack options are top notch. This latest announcement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and impact of our 1,000+ team members. I can't wait to see what the next 5 years bring! *Based on total capital raised by H.I.G. Stop launching chatbots. Nobody wants your AI chatbot. Chatbots are to 2024 what the Facebook 'like button' was to 2010. Just because the interaction model popularized by ChatGPT is easy and obvious doesn't mean it is optimal for your purpose and business. Think people+needs first, then build.
