Client entertainment is a key component of professional services. But elevating it from schmoozing to inspiring is where the real value lies. Your clients are busy people. They may not have time to discover how emerging technology can benefit their business. Holding client innovation days is a great way professional services firms can demonstrate their strategic value. You could connect your client with some cutting edge startups and host them in a new and refreshing environment. This shows your client that you have your finger on the pulse with the vision to be relevant in their future. And then you can take them out for a fantastic meal and a few laughs (ideally somewhere they haven’t been before). In my seventh article for The Consulting Balance I share how this approach helped Nexient be seen as a long-term strategic partner in its early days. What a fantastic approach to client engagement! 🌟 I'm curious, what has been the most surprising feedback from your clients after hosting these innovation days? It sounds like a game-changer! 😊

"We have hospital basements in New Jersey too..." 😂 I like that line. I love the idea of going to a place where there is a bunch of innovation all in one building as a way of getting a sense for what technology we might want in the future.
