Although I was only a freelance copy editor I, too, was caught up in the layoffs that occurred at Forbes Advisor (https://lnkd.in/e-t9fvai) yesterday. This is sad because I enjoyed working with many of the people during my two years there and we were putting out a great product. I wish all of my former colleagues well and hope our paths cross again soon. This action is unfortunate because it occurred only a couple of months after my six-years stint as a freelance copy editor at Fit Small Business came to an end when it was decided to take the copy editing in-house. Although I still have a couple of great clients helping me keep the lights on and the mortgage company at bay, I could use one or two more. If anyone knows of any copy editing or proofreading openings, I'm looking once again. #opentowork

Copywriter with extensive experience crafting compelling marketing and UX content for the e-commerce, print, digital, broadcast and fintech spaces.
I’ve been between jobs since last August. If you, or someone you know - needs a copywriter - please let me know. It’s imperative that I find my next job ASAP. I’ve already tapped into my savings and that will be exhausted sooner than later. I’m a seasoned writer with extensive experience crafting compelling marketing and UX content for the print, digital, broadcast, e-commerce and fintech spaces. I’m open to in-office, hybrid and remote roles. Full-time is preferable but I’m open to contract and freelance as well. My secret superpowers are patience, empathy, flexibility, crystalizing nebulous concepts, and a healthy sense of humor. Collaboration is my middle name and I value the contributions and feedback of all my teammates. I work quickly, can juggle multiple tasks, and deliver crisp, clear, concise, error-free content on time - every time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a brilliant day! Your Pal, Greenberg 😀

The job search is incredibly discouraging. It is disappointing. It makes you feel like you're not good enough for anything no matter how hard you've worked in your career, how much time you spent rehearsing for interviews, all the late hours spent tweaking and perfecting your resume and portfolio. There is also a great deal of shame that comes with this process, and trying to combat that while simultaneously keeping your fingers crossed for something to stick, is just as hard as it is to find a job. All I can wonder is what I am doing wrong, what I haven't done enough. It. Is. The. Worst. BUT, I AM STILL going to keep at it. I am STILL available for immediate hire: full time, freelance, and contract. I am open to ALL roles, whether in-office, hybrid, or remote. If anyone is looking for a senior copywriter/UX writer who is itching to get back to work, PLEASE message me. I am beyond ready to get back to doing what I love, wherever it takes me. Check out my portfolio if you're interested: ashannamolokwu.com. I have also attached my resume. My email is: [email protected]. #openforwork #opentowork #seniorcopywriter #openforhire #freelancewriter #freelancecopywriter #repost #share

Human Centric Content For New and Existing Businesses. Thoughtfully Shaped & Reshaped Content Strategies For 𝟔𝟎+ 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in 𝐁𝟐𝐁, 𝐒𝐚𝐚𝐒 & 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.
I have promised myself this one thing long back No matter what… But I would always be honest in job applications and during 1:1 conversations with clients. Trust me, I've seen many people talk about things they don't really understand. That’s their perspective, but my approach operates differently. One thing I've noticed is that being honest has led me to many rejections. But it has never forced me to discuss things I can't bring to the table. As a freelance writer (currently seeking the right work opportunities) Honesty has helped me in: ✅Trust Building ✅Setting Clear Expectations ✅Building a Positive Reputation ✅Client Satisfaction ✅Personal Growth & Values ✅Effective Conflict Resolution ✅Better Project Fit ✅Improved Negotiation ✅Getting Deserving Compensation & Accurate Pricing You may face many rejections or have less business, but you'll be happy knowing you stayed true to yourself. Note: If you’re looking for an honest teammate or hiring writers, reach out to Hem Kant (preferably for remote, freelance, full-time, or part-time roles). #writer #freelancetruth #honestwork #writerintegrity #opentowork #jobsearch #careervalues

Making the switch...Need advice. Cracking the Corporate Code: A Freelancer's Guide to Landing a Full-Time Creative Gig For years, I've thrived in the trenches of freelance production. I've shepherded TV, film, and branded content projects from concept to completion, mastering the art of the hustle. Now, my sights are set on a new challenge: a stable, full-time creative role within a corporate environment. The transition, however, feels like navigating a labyrinth. I've revamped my resume to speak the corporate language, and my cover letters are tailored to each job description. Still, the path forward remains shrouded in mystery and rejection letters. So to that I am writing to all of the recruiters, head hunters, companies and anyone else that might have had this struggle and how you dealt with the same road blocks and what advice you might have to offer.

Creative Content Strategist ✨️Copywriter✨️Ghostwriter✨️Published Writer✨️Linked up with Pakistan Association Dubai(Ladies Forum)🧕
Morning people‼️ So, I was looking into so many freelance writing jobs to get a chance for showcasing my skills and experience. What I found❓️ 1️⃣ Recruiters post a job role just for the sake of posting. No replies, no courtesy at all. 2️⃣ One thing which I noticed ... their criteria. I am literally confused, whether they are looking for a writer, graphic designer or social media manager. (May be searching for a super man/woman with all three qualities 🤔) 3️⃣ Another important thing is the hands on experience. Well, I have a serious question here ... With 5 years of experience is it possible to pay market competitive amount for a skilled professional? Low hourly rates not only demotivate the writers but also, lessen the interest towards your job opening. So, think, think & think before posting!!! Good luck 👍

New year! Old job hunt. And the thing I've learned about being unemployed is... I need a job. Jokes aside, I AM still looking for my next job, contract, and/or gig. And let me tell you, it’s important that I find something much much sooner rather than later. I am a storyteller and creative thinker who thrives on a team and has a passion for learning new things. My goal is a job that is writing-based and/or has a creative focus. ✍ Writing-wise, I'm in the market for jobs such as synopsis writing (previously wrote synopses for Netflix), script/creative/content writing (playwright with many years of experience in many genres), technical writing (have written many a process document), and copywriting (experience here too. less obvious, but I can tell you about it). I should not forget to mention a yes to Theatre/TV/Film sort of work. I also have an extensive background in dialogue writing and story structure (playwright). 📖 Editing and creative-wise, here’s what I’m exploring: script consulting and editing (see above note about being a playwright), copy/blog/newsletter editing (from a new play literary magazine to internal documents to personal blog posts, there is so much editing to be had), and dramaturgy and research (Hi, it’s me. I’m the playwright, it’s me.). ✅ Other-wise: I am, of course, always widening my search and open to other opportunities. I have skills related to data-entry, metadata, administrative support, and transcription, to name a few. I prefer remote work but am based in NYC and can be in office. I am also happily picking up freelance work at this time including writing bios, script consulting, writing coaching, feedback facilitation, transcription, editing, dramaturgy and research, and/or synopsis-writing for new plays. If you need any of those sorts of things, let’s talk! This post is long, likely too long, but hopefully it’s a good glimpse into who I am and what I’m looking for (while also trying to hint at the gravity of the situation without sounding too desperate…is it working??). If you know of job opportunities, have leads, introductions, and/or referrals, I’d really appreciate it. A like and a share goes a long way too. Also, comments…that are nice…I’ll take them. To put a button on this post, here’s a photo of me looking to the horizon of new opportunities. Thank you! #opentowork #writer #creative #editor #storyteller

With the current job market being more complicated and nuanced these days, I’ve been seeing more and more posts about freelance or contract work. In the spirit of collaboration, I’m curious of thoughts around this, especially within creative spaces such as writing, editing, marketing, etc. Do you feel more freelance or contract roles are available than full-time? Is this something you’d prefer? Does it seem like it’s more of a risky option for stability as an employee? #jobseekers #fulltime #writers #marketing

Human exclamation point is the best description for such a lovely person.
Copywriter | Content Strategy | UX Writing | Creative & Engaging Copy | Brand Voice Conveyance | Raising Brand Awareness | Email & Direct Marketing | Copy Editing | Public Relations | Presentations
Friends, colleagues, and strangers of LinkedIn, I need your help. Since getting laid off in January, I've been primarily working freelance gigs. I've adored getting to work with different teams and write different types of content, but I would love getting back into a full-time role where I can really dig in and let my copywriting expertise and creativity shine. If you can share this, or if you know of anyone looking for a kick-ass writer, I'd appreciate you sending them my way. And yes, I know companies often put a freeze on hiring toward the end of the calendar year, but I just know someone out there is looking for a human exclamation point to join their team and I figured I should give them a head start on finding me.
