At #Pirelli, we’re advancing our commitment to a new era of mobility by investing in one of our key markets with the new Virtual Development Center at #PirelliGermany in Breuberg, Hesse.   Germany is home to a world-class automotive industry and extensive Pirelli engineering excellence. By growing our capabilities in Germany, we are opening new possibilities for our OEM customers worldwide.   Using artificial intelligence (AI) and neural networks to augment the vast expertise of Pirelli's development engineers, the VDC creates a virtual tire factory that can produce tires for any vehicle models supplied by automakers, including ones that don't yet physically exist. What is somewhat less discussed is how it is being used to enhance human productivity and improve the products we rely on every day. 🚗 #simcenter Engineering Services worked with Hyundai Motor Group to create and train a #neuralnetwork to identify the ideal vehicle configuration during development, bringing a process that used to take one week down to just 15 minutes. This will contribute to HMG's mission to transition to #electricvehicles.
