TikTok takes a huge step to combat AI generated content with its latest announcement. Creators can now label AI generated content to help their audiences understand if their content is real or fake. The move will be followed by Meta, YouTube and X. It’s a welcomed move as deepfakes continue to dominate news especially in entertainment. Creators invest hours authentically demonstrating their talents and building their fanbases, However, the emerging tools are becoming more powerful, creating a negative impact on the industry. As platforms and algorithms continue to change, creators need to be protected and valued for what they do. Content creation is time consuming and therefore, AI tools can certainly be helpful, but ultimately AI can never take away a creators unique personal brand and connection with their fans!
