As the global philanthropic arm of Ford, our mission is to partner with communities to move people forward and upward. Today, in addition to releasing our annual Impact Report, we are also very excited to announce we are rebranding: Ford Fund is now Ford Philanthropy. We’re celebrating our 75th Anniversary this year, and Ford Philanthropy not only represents the evolution from where we’ve been to where we are today, but also better reflects our vision for the future – one that’s deeply invested in the communities where Ford has roots and all about making the world a better place. Visit our new website – www.fordphilanthropy.org – to learn more about this vision and the impact we’re making in people’s lives every day. https://lnkd.in/eMnAPVWW

While reading an article on philanthropic giving, I came across an intriguing question that I believe prompts deep reflection: "What shapes your philanthropy? (Is it personal values? Family consensus? Shaped by current events?)" I find this question particularly thought-provoking as it delves into the multifaceted motivations behind our philanthropic endeavors. Personally, I believe that philanthropy is deeply rooted in our personal values, shaped by our experiences, beliefs, and aspirations. Additionally, family consensus and discussions often play a significant role, allowing us to align our charitable efforts with shared values and goals. Moreover, the ever-evolving landscape of current events undoubtedly influences our philanthropic decisions, prompting us to respond to pressing needs and emerging challenges in our communities and beyond. I would be grateful to hear your insights on this matter. What factors do you believe shape your philanthropy? Engaging in such discussions enriches our understanding and empowers us to make a meaningful difference in the world.

When mapping out your philanthropic journey, there are three initial questions you should ask yourself: 1. Where do I want to be a year from now, and in the future? 2. Where am I today? 3. And what are the steps I need to take to get me from A to B? Step 1 should be discussing your options with a philanthropy advisor and getting a sense of the giving landscape. Whether you just want to dip your toe in the philanthropy water or whether you’re ready to commit to a lifelong giving plan, we at LGT Philanthropy Advisory make the process a little less overwhelming. #PhilanthropyAdvisory

You have the means and the desire to give and you might be wondering "why don’t I just give directly to an organization? Why should I use a philanthropy advisor?" What you need to know is that there are around 10 million non-profits in the world, but many donations and most funds are only going towards a select few of these non-profits who have high marketing budgets to get their names out there. What about the non-profits that are not as visible but that align better with your values and giving goals? That’s where we come in. Philanthropy advisors help you sift through the noise and find relevant and meaningful outlets for your philanthropy. #StrategicPhilanthropy #PhilanthropyAdvisory #Collaboration
