“SEEKING CONSENSUS” #01 After 4th July General Election Where next for Great Britain & Northern Ireland? My initial thoughts are that many of us will need to convince others to adopt ‘Place’* first rather than’Party’ allegiances to achieve consensus. Alliances of political leaders from various walks of life focussed on ‘Quality of Life’ and what that means in ‘our’ Community could be developed as an effective Model for future Government? An antidote to what increasingly looks like a huge Labour Government majority and the increase in Populist Extreme views that (a) divide and (b) appear to ignore economic realities. Aim to develop a shared reality of what can be achieved to improve our lives and society. In France for example various centrist groups are collaborating to try and counter the threat from the far right. In 2024, if President Trump vs President Biden are choices: I am very sympathetic with Jewish regarding conquest both by Muslims and Christians leading to holocaust; I am also very appreciative of Jewish Creativity that lead the world to a lot of innovations; however, genocide can’t be wrong and illegal for Jewish and be right for Palestinian people who are also indigenous habitants of the same geographic locations historically, even if they inhabited the area after expulsion of Jewish, they should not expelled, but coexist. President Biden didn’t handle this war very responsibly, but still as long as republicans can’t stop being the party of specific race and faith or keep staying closer to Neo-Nazis , the whole world can judge who will be my option. If I am anger with my persecutions and conspiracies against rights, I may choose none of the above; However, I can’t afford doing that at all.
