The older I get, the more sentimental I become.
I met Darren Auster in 1997. Or was it 1996? 😜
When we met we both were at New York Life.
In 2000 I left to move to another firm.
Darren stayed behind, and took care of
the clients that I wasn't able to service.
That's what I wanted because I knew he'd do the right thing.
We typically get together 2 or 3 times a year.

We've been through good and bad times, personally
as well as professionally. But...we're always a phone call away.
Yesterday he called me. We caught up. Reminisced a bit.
Had a couple of good laughs and talked about making plans
to get together again soon, and see how we can conquer the world.

I've met a lot of people in this industry. They've come and gone.
Darren is one of the good guys, and I'm glad to call him my friend.
