📣 Global (re)insurers, this is for you! Send your entries in for the Insurer Transformation Awards and get the recognition and exposure you deserve. The Insurer Transformation Awards are open to established insurers & reinsurers. To qualify: Please submit details of how you are pushing digital transformation at a country, regional or global level, touching at least two of the following categories: ▪People & Digital Culture ▪Infrastructure ▪Ecosystems In addition, judges will be short-listing applications to select the finalists based on evidence of: (re)insurers having taken an holistic, programmatic approach to Value Chain Innovations AND New Digital Business Models ✔ Considering end-to-end customer journeys ✔ Commitment to change over time eg multi-year effort ✔ Industry impact ✔ Customer impact ✔ Tangible business results / ROI ✔ Effort made in application and likely level of interest to industry audience Please note: Only one entry globally will be allowed by each (re)insurer / group Entries must be submitted through the TDI website by 15th October 2024 Entrants must submit a completed application, pptx presentation of not more than 12 slides and (optional) video presentation of not more than 60 seconds All valid award entries will be published online on the TDI website to ensure applicants benefit from community exposure for their transformation efforts. A panel of industry experts will shortlist the submissions. In the run-up to the Global Awards Event, TDI members will be able to cast an early vote for the overall winner of the World's Insurer Transformation Awards.  These votes will be added to votes cast  live during the Global Finals webinar to determine the overall winner. You're really comfortable because you've been really lucky." - John Wepler, Chairman & CEO, MarshBerry I took pages of notes this morning during this great industry update at WBN - Worldwide Broker Network's conference. I often say that I love this industry but I worry about our bad habits. Many of those were touched on in this session including the age-old problem of producers that don't produce...but I digress. 🙃 Many firms are comfortable "enough" not to deal with the elephant(s) in their respective rooms and are counting on forgiving valuation calculations that reward all growth equally. I was struck by John's warnings about complacency and the data that shows the widening distance in valuations between mediocre and high-performing firms. I've never seen a Producer, Team, Office, Region, or National Practice grow without a team to do the work. Never. Amid a growing industry talent shortage, this should be top of mind for anyone serious about growth. We can do better as an industry than our siloed thinking about Sales and Client Service. You'll grow more if you invest in your client service team and hold producers accountable than hiring more producers to operate from an outdated playbook. Building effective, efficient high-performing client service teams is a growth strategy. Lately, I've attended a few Producer meetings to share talent trends and how modern teams collaborate.
