More explorations on 3d to AI workflows. Failure is just part of the process, get used to it. Just try again! And that doesn't mean beat yourself up and try the same way again, but look at what you did analyze it, and try something different, it's how craft development happens, and also personal development. Here I was trying to do a complex scene where the character falls, rolls front, and then stands up, and if that was not enough, I decided to put some clouds which create direct interference on the image making it difficult for the model to recognize somethings, especially in such a monochromatic scene, and even after all of that the result is still pretty cool. Meta is Using Mosaic -SDF for 3D Shape Generation which is really an exciting time to see what coming up next. Artificial Intelligence is making things easier by Connecting all the Dots in Technical Improvements right now. AI is acting like a Catalyst in the Development of New Technology. So, what exactly is M-SDF ? M-SDF represents 3D shapes using tiny voxel grids around their surface, capturing intricate details in an efficient manner. Mosaic-SDF (M-SDF) : A simple 3D shape representation that approximates the Signed Distance Function (SDF) of a given shape by using a set of local grids spread near the shape's boundary. The M-SDF representation is fast to compute for each shape individually making it readily parallelizable; it is parameter efficient as it only covers the space around the shape's boundary; and it has a simple matrix form, compatible with Transformer-based architectures. In collaboration with DLP PARIS, our exploration of Stable Diffusion AI within the context of Marco Brambilla's extraordinary project, King Size, proved to be a profoundly illuminating experience. Instead of being a hindrance, AI revealed itself as a valuable force multiplier. While there were some initial challenges, the process ultimately infused us with fresh ideas, which we warmly embraced. As eloquently explained by Marco at designboom: "Concluding our talk, we ask Brambilla if Artificial Intelligence could be viewed as a tool or a collaborator for monumental projects like KING SIZE. ‘I see it more as a tool at this point, but it’s still in its infancy, so I assume it may become more of a two-way dialogue at some point. Technically, this project is more of a hybrid – it uses the collage technique combined with AI and computer graphics to create a more seamless ‘Canvas’.
