$4.5 MILLION SETTLEMENT FOR CLIENT: Congratulations to partners Michael Jaffe and Matthew Fein for securing a $4.5 million settlement on behalf of a union construction worker who sustained severe and disabling injuries after a fall from a significant height on a worksite. The case was brought under New York’s Labor Law/ Scaffold Law Section §240(1) and settled at mediation after several years of litigation. NYC BREAKING NEWS: A large crane caught fire this morning and has partially collapsed causing debris to plummet from a skyscraper on 10th Ave. Sadly, two firefighters and at least four civilians suffered minor injuries when the fire broke out. $225K SETTLEMENT FOR CLIENT: Congratulations to Eugene Gozenput for securing a $225,000 settlement for an injured client. Our client was a construction worker who sustained disc bulges, a shoulder tear, and other bodily injuries after falling from a ladder while doing gutter work. The case was settled at jury selection in Kings County Court.
