I help executives strategically elevate their personal brands, careers and teams. Executive Coaching, Executive Branding, and C-Suite Career Direction | Media Career Expert
C-Suite leaders, an insider tip: optimize your LinkedIn for your ideal company’s *growth goals* - for example, scaling a company from 0-50M or 50-200M, or expanding into Asia, or diversifying channels (etc.). Recruiters and investors think, “where is this company going next and therefore who has already done this well?” And in many cases, executives don’t have this information on their LinkedIn profiles, so you get missed. I love this helpful insight from Erica Seidel and Mavuus! You can tell the care and time that Erica takes to scour for the right fit and how much easier it would be to make a job match if candidates had the right information on their profiles.

🚀 Want to make a lasting impression when messaging recruiters on LinkedIn? Check out these tips for success! 📩 1️⃣ Personalize Your Message: Start with a warm greeting and mention something specific about their company or job posting to show genuine interest. 2️⃣ Highlight Relevant Skills: Share your key qualifications and how they align with the job. Be concise and clear about what you bring to the table. 3️⃣ Show Enthusiasm: Express your enthusiasm for the role and the company. Passion can be infectious! 4️⃣ Professional Tone: Keep your message professional, avoid slang, and proofread for typos. 5️⃣ Ask Thoughtful Questions: Show your interest by asking relevant questions about the job or company culture. 6️⃣ Follow Up Politely: If you don't get an immediate response, a polite follow-up message after a reasonable time is okay. 7️⃣ Respect Their Time: Keep your message concise and to the point. Recruiters are often busy. 8️⃣ Include a Strong Call to Action: End your message with a clear call to action, like scheduling an interview or connecting for a call. It's frustrating when you apply to job postings and don't hear back, even if it's just a simple response. Remember, it's common courtesy to acknowledge an engagement, especially if you've been identified as a contact person for a specific job or organization. Sending a message to a hiring manager can feel like a waste of time if you don't receive a response. So, why not try a different approach? Instead of applying directly to job posts, try to get someone to refer you to those jobs from within the target company. It might just be the key to landing your dream job!

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁-𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵? Has your executive job search extended for months (and months) without results? Here are some of the possible reasons a search can be prolonged. 1. Executive job searches take longer than the typical job search. Executive positions are more competitive and have a longer, more rigorous hiring process, so expect higher level job searches to take longer than mid-level searches. 6-12 months is considered normal for high-level roles, but you CAN take strides to accelerate the process. 2. Targeted, branded career collateral. Your resume and LinkedIn profile should clearly articulate your target role, your value offering, your impact, and your EQ. Yes, that’s right — those soft skills pack a powerful punch when they align with the needs of the hiring organization and team. Go BEYOND communication skills and problem solving capabilities. Tell your audience with nuance what makes you distinctive among hundreds of other candidates. 3. Lean into your Network. Executive searches see stronger traction when leveraging a robust network and internal advocates. Plan a cadence of communications around your availability that keeps you top of mind for prime opportunities as they arise. Think of the job search as a campaign, rather than one-and-done outreach. 4. Follow up for the win. Those who disappear, well… disappear. Some candidates come in strong only to fade away after the interview. You SAY you’re excited about the role, then fail to circle back, write custom thank you notes, offer an addendum, touch base and share a meaningful article, podcast, etc. There are sooooo many methods to let the hiring team know you remain interested and outpace the competition. _________ How long have you been searching? Has this ever happened to you? You get a notification on LinkedIn 'Congratulate this person [who is in your network] for starting a new position at a new company You know that person. You in-mailed them once, maybe twice. No response You know that company. You might have recently worked with them You wonder how you missed that the candidate was in the market for a new job Their CV wasn't on any job board… They were not 'open to work' on LinkedIn… 'Best' case scenario? They were approached directly Worst case scenario? They engaged with another recruiter - your competitor! Ask yourself: 'Why them, and not me'? Are they advertising their roles often? Are they posting content that encourages engagement with their respective network? How many of these potential placements are you comfortable letting slip through the net? Find out how Paiger gets you top of mind with the thousands of connections you have worked so hard to make. Otherwise, what's the point of having them? #Recruitment #Marketing #SocialMedia

Transforming your Career Trajectory with Personalized Executive Career Development & Search Strategy | Top 15 Chicago LinkedIn Expert
I recently helped a client move from a Marketing Director role to a fully remote CMO role with a 30% raise. Here are the steps I took to ensure she stood out in a competitive job market. 👇 ➡ I crafted an executive profile section for the top of her resume that highlighted her expertise across her career and the scope and scale of her roles, showing how seamlessly she could step into a CMO role. And I kept it short. 3-5 lines max. ➡ I added a 'key value' section to showcase her quantifiable impact in the important areas from the targeted job description. (Tip: this section makes the resume easily tweakable for different roles.) 📈 Bonus: Visualizing these accomplishments through a carefully curated chart allows readers to grasp her value at a glance. ➡I optimized her LinkedIn profile to align with executive search criteria, ensuring maximum visibility among top-tier recruiters and decision-makers. It's so helpful to partner with someone at this level to ensure you're putting your best foot forward. 💫 Strategic resume writing and LinkedIn optimization can help propel you towards your goals. 🎯 My clients leave the process ready and energized for the job search and with clarity on their unique value and accomplishments. ➡ Are you ready to take the next step in your career journey? Let's connect and explore how I can help you achieve your professional goals.
