Based on the revised clawback system, an average pharmacy is expected to lose approximately £1000 per month due to purchasing medications above the DT price after clawback. To put this into perspective, we've compiled a list of the top 60 lines out of 300, showing the losses from highest to lowest. It's clear that this is a significant issue that pharmacies must address in order to remain profitable. PS. This is an excellent tool to help contractors understand the impact NHSE, DHSC and this government's decisions are having on the front door of the NHS service provision. Pharmacies can no longer afford to subsidise the Government's NHS bill in order to safeguard the supply chain and fulfill the secretary of states legal responsibility for her. The answer is very clear for pharmacies. We now have only one option. STOP SUPPLYING ABOVE CLAWBACK LINES on prescription and direct the patient back to GP for resolution. If we continue as we are we will put patients at risk as the rate of closures continue to accelerate and patients will no longer be able to access any medicines in thier localities. Our desire to help patients must not be allowed to be cynically used to justify a contract that is forcing pharmacies to go under, which ultimately will harm patients.
