Presented with this challenge, Nipro initiated an ambitious thought experiment: 'Suppose we could reboot our business anew; how would we ideally structure our distribution network flows?'  The overhaul began with a comprehensive audit, mapping out the existing logistics flows and evaluating the capacity of the current distribution network. Key stakeholders contributed through in-depth interviews, while a thorough analysis of historical customer demand and logistics performance data was conducted. Knitting found us and we couldn’t be more happy about it! 🧶 We are pleased to announce that DSV Solutions Finland and Novita will start a large-scale cooperation in early May 2024. The agreement covers Novita's wholesale and e-commerce operations, both domestic and export. Novita will outsource its entire warehouse logistics to DSV, and it will be operated in carbon neutral logistics center in Vantaa. The goal is to improve the customer experience by upgrading the entire logistic solution to meet the standards of modern and efficient warehousing and to improve the entire supply chain. “The cooperation has started very well, and we have been happy with the DSV team from the very beginning of the project. We believe in long-term cooperation in a spirit of continuous improvement”, says Marita Halonen, COO of Novita. One important part of the cooperation is the use of warehouse automation, especially in e-commerce. DSV is also able to meet Novita's environmental targets, as DSV's warehouses are carbon neutral throughout Finland.
