Taking over any process at an early stage org is a pretty chaotic proposition. The first hire for any customer facing role has a massive impact in the customer experience and trust, as it transitions from founders and the unreasonable expectations that comes with it. Abijit came on as the first hire in our solutions org, and managed the transition like it was nobody's business. Customers wonder if he ever sleeps. We do too. P.S. For longer than most, I have been a big, big fan of #twilio. Way back in 2009, Philippe Telio & I partnered with #twilio (Jeff Lawson & co) in support of entrepreneurs using the Twilio platform to build products. They had just launched, were super innovative and had a great spirit about them - and as is their message today, really just wanted people to build cool stuff. We had a great time hosting amazing events together. I have the utmost respect for that founding team. Not just anyone figures out how to build $B companies. So I was to happy to come full circle and become their customer - we built customer engagement applications that really made a difference (in our case, reducing no-shows which reduces COGS) Fast forward - I'm pretty disappointed with the position #twilio has taken with the cannabis industry (plant and non-plant touching businesses alike). And even more so - now that the industry has its own set of $B companies, and maturing regulations (ie. full-on federal legalization in our Canadian market) - to see the company's stance only tightening over time. Without any apparent room for collaboration, dialog or segmentation. A bank and an SMS provider, both to whom we've been loyal for many years, gone in the last 30 days. I expected this in 2017, but not as we turn the corner to '24. #cannabislife #keepontruckin

Getting back into the game I was a bit overwhelmed with more ai news, layoffs and people posting about how great their year was. So I recentered and refocused on simple truths. Customer care is not just about resolving issues; it's about turning a frown into a smile and leaving a lasting impression. 🧘♂️ To do so - I compiled a list of what I thing would be great resolution. (please fight me on them 😉) ✖️🌟 Experience first: Design your interaction from first contact to resolution. Make sure you understand what the customer goes through when contacting you. 📉🕵️♂️ Use analytics: Each interaction allows you to learn, so use them to identify trends, measure performance, and pinpoint areas for improvement. 👟🏃♂️Train your people: Invest in furthering hard and soft skills in your team - thus allowing them to be the best version of themselves.. 🤖👩💻 Use technology: Don't hold on to old ways because it's easy. Question all your processes while streamlining and automate tasks. 📏🌡️Measure satisfaction and effort! It is not enough to know if your customer is satisfied with the result - find out if getting there was easy too! Introducing any of these points will help you improve.
