I don’t post much here – but I make an exception as the occasion deserves it, and more importantly, as our exceptional team demands it!   Fairvue’s 10-year anniversary next week is a moment of immense pride and sense of achievement for us all. Fairvue was founded on the belief that Investor Relations is more than the execution of a programme or advanced financial communications; it is a strategic function. Born as a spin-off from a major stakeholder communications conglomerate, we faced scepticism about whether a standalone IR consulting firm could truly compete with larger multi-stakeholder advisors, especially in an increasingly interconnected world.   Fast forward ten years. With the help of a talented team, unwavering trust from our clients and remaining true to our values in everything we do, we have built an exceptional consultancy that bridges Investor Relations with Corporate Strategy to enhance the capital markets positioning of our clients. A lot has changed in 18 months… In January Stephen Alexander was 18 months old. When we started the business back in July 2022 we had spent a lot of time planning and thinking about our offering, our marketing, potential clients, and how we could build a business. We were confident but the truth is you never know exactly how it is going to pan out. In the last 18 months, we have had some amazing successes (and a few setbacks of course). Opening our first office, winning an award, working with some brilliant businesses across their marketing, bids, and BD activity and plans, recruiting an office manager, and much more. But the thing that gets us excited is seeing our proposition and focus on helping businesses win new work come to life. All my competitors are shit. In recruitment it's common for agencies to slag each other off. I see posts like it all the time. The classic "we're the best and the rest are cowboys" pitch. But my experience couldn't be further from that. Since launching Pitch Technology, some of my direct competitors have been nothing but helpful. Offering advice Referring candidates Saying positive things about us to clients Giving me the heads up when outed on social media (you know the post) I even met one of my biggest rivals for a beer recently🤯😂 In my first recruitment job, you would have been lynched for that. There are bad eggs in any industry. But the truth is that good people are doing good things in GTM recruiting in Australia. Sure It makes my job harder (I lost a pitch just this week😅) But that's all part of the fun.
