Rather than asking the question “were the vaccines needed as a response to the pandemic?” we should instead be asking “was the pandemic needed for the vaccines?”. Make your own opinion (qualified opinion, with due analysis and critical thinking).
In late 2022 we published a document summarising our thoughts on Covid vaccines as they stood then. What we have learned in the past year has made us rethink nearly every single aspect of what was written in that document. Read our revised stance here: https://lnkd.in/ezR8HXVd

In light of recent discussions surrounding the potential side effects of COVISHIELD, I feel compelled to offer my perspective on the matter. Following vaccination, it's not uncommon for individuals, especially infants, to experience temporary side effects such as fever. Despite this, we continue to prioritize vaccination as a means of safeguarding against severe illnesses. The welfare of our children against prevalent diseases takes precedence over transient discomfort. Consider chemotherapy, a crucial treatment in the battle against cancer. Despite its well-known side effects like nausea and hair loss, patients undergo it with the singular aim of survival, disregarding the accompanying challenges. Likewise, it's essential to acknowledge that virtually every medication carries potential side effects. COVISHIELD, instrumental in combating the pandemic, has been administered to 2.5 billion individuals across 170 countries. The incidence of the reported side effect, such as blood clotting, is exceedingly rare, affecting only a minuscule fraction (51 cases), equating to 0.000002%. In light of these statistics, it's imperative to focus on the overwhelmingly positive impact of COVISHIELD. For millions, it has provided a much-needed reprieve amidst the pandemic's upheaval. Let's remain vigilant but also mindful of the significant strides this vaccine has facilitated in our global health efforts. #covishield
