Researchers from the University of Copenhagen utilised light and chlorine in a new study to remove low-concentration methane from the air. According to the researchers of the study, which was published in the journal Environmental Research Letters, the findings brought us one step closer to being able to remove greenhouse gases from low-concentration sources such as livestock housing, biogas production plants, and wastewater treatment plants. I was looking into the possibility of worldwide freshwater canal system augmented by desalination and came across passive desalination system by MIT, whereas this system seems to be the best for always keeping the canals full so as to supply water to all the humanity for daily, farming and industrial usage. One should be able to operate this system with low energy and make life sustainable at all odds. It is manifestation of humanity saying that it would like to survive and thrive irrespective of its shortcomings in many different directions.
