I'm so piiissed off with most of the content on this platform....🤬 Sorry not sorry, rant incoming! ↙️ LinkedIn new 'video for you' section is literally full of completely inaccessible content, and I mean *overflowing* with it! 😰 Lovely people of LinkedIn please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not targeting anyone individually!!.... However... you spend ages lovingly and carefully creating gorgeous content...videos, images... YET ... you don't spend any time making this content accessible! 🙅♀️ Why?!?! 🤷♀️ Don't you realise that 27% of the population globally, live with visual impairments? 👀 🚫 1 in 8 people in the United States alone, that's 13%, around 30 million, aged 12 or older has hearing loss in *both* ears, based on standard hearing examinations! 👂 🚫 Has it even occurred to you that included in these statistics, are your potential customers and clients....the very people you're making this content for! 🤷♀️ What's the point, if they can't even access it? 🤦♀️ You lose out as much as they do. 👎 I'm constantly and consistently banging on about the most important A.I of all being accessibility and inclusion! 🙄 I have tried soooo many approaches to tackling this already. Like leaving the a polite comment, or writing in the comments...with actual written for you descriptions, to copy and paste in an edit to your posts. I've also kindly mentioned tips and suggestions on how you can be more considerate & inclusive with your content.
